Timber is now accepted as a key component in low-carbon solutions for multistorey building projects.

The University of Tasmania is pleased to be offering its Australian Timber Design Workshop in 2022!

The Australian Timber Design Workshop (ATDW) is designed as a unique professional development and networking opportunity for architects, engineers, builders, and others interested in efficient timber-rich construction to develop their skills and knowledge of:

  • Using timber in architectural and structural design;
  • Factors influencing the design of timber in buildings;
  • Efficient timber detailing and specification.

The workshop consists of a 2-day participatory activity that will run concurrently in both Launceston at the University of Tasmania’s Newnham Campus, as well as in Brisbane at the University of Queensland’s St Lucia Campus.

The ATDW aligns with the University of Tasmania's Master of Professional Engineering in Timber Design.

The ATDW has been developed by the University of Tasmania's and is being delivered to you collaboratively by both the University of Tasmania and the University of Queensland.

This is a WoodSolutions sponsored event.
